Hortobágy National Park – World Heritage Site

Official guided crane migration tours operated by the Hortobágy National Park directorate — September to November only. The largest common crane gathering in the world (up to 200000 birds in October). Tours start at the NP Visitor Centre in Hortobágy village with a film screening then field drive to the roosting site which changes annually depending on crane movements.
